Dear Steve,

Working with you this past year to design, implement, and manage the installation of the 18-hole Disc Golf Course at Fort Snelling has truly been a valuable experience. Your knowledge and patience in identifying what our customers and staff can expect has prepared us for a future in the disc golf business.

I really appreciate your willingness to listen, educate, and problem solve our areas of concern, as well as develop ideas and answers to remedy them.

Our goal is that the relationship and co-existence of ball golfers and disc golfers on the same property at the same time will provide a fun, challenging experience, and be beneficial to all.

I would highly recommend your services to prospective clients entertaining thoughts or ideas on the great sport of disc golf.

Respectfully,

Steve,

Thanks so much for your leadership of the disk golf project! We are using the course now and we just got score cards printed. I'm excited for the Scouts to use the new course. We really appreciate you taking the time to help us redesign the course. That's been a really fun addition to the Tomahawk program, we've even had some people from the near by towns come out and play.

Thank you.

Thanks Steve,

I had two parents helping a school group out here who when they saw we had a course went to their car and dragged out a whole bunch of discs and enjoyed our course.

Our course has been going over very well with the campers. It's listed as some camper's favorite activity.

My name is Duane Hofschulte, retired City Administrator for the City of Mazeppa, in Southeastern Minnesota. The last couple of years after my retirement, I administered a park grant for the city which was the redevelopment of the Herb Vik Athletic Field. There were several projects to the grant of which Disc Golf being a very important part of the redevelopment.

When the time came to start the design of the course we had two options. The first one was to do it ourselves and the second was to find a designer who would do it right. I had a contact with the City of Plainview who had a relatively new course and upon their recommendation we contacted Steve West to hire for our course design.

Once we hired Steve and signed a contract, I met with him to do a walk thru the park. I anticipated what options he would come up with since there were a lot of obstacles he had to take into account. Examples were, a tractor pull track, the newly installed trail and picnic shelter, softball field along with its shelter and storage building, volleyball court and a small playground area. So when I met Steve with his first design I was more than impressed. He incorporated the course into our existing park and used parts of it that we never would have planned of using. He designed it up to the Disc Golf standards which we didn't know about and during construction would visit the site and even spend time working on the course. One of the items I was really impressed with was his design of the course map (satellite view) which was a finished product that our sign company could incorporate into our site map with rules and hole layout.

The whole process of working with Steve was a pleasure and I must say his fulfillment of the contract was above and beyond my expectations. Steve also put our finished product of the Herb Vik Athletic Field Disc Golf Course into the states data base including pictures.

I highly recommend Steve West for your Disc Golf Design needs, whether it be new or a redo.
